Vocabulary Unit 4_Risk

anticipate-predict: make an informed guess that something will happen


gauge-evaluate: think carefully about something and decide its value or importance


identify- recognize: see something and know what it is


weigh up: consider good and bad aspects of something before making a decision


minimize: reduce something to the smallest possible level


exposing: put something in a situation where it is not protected from something


run the risk of: encounter the danger of something bad happening


determine: carefully calculate and decide something


accept: able to regard and understand a situation or future situation as true





prudent: use good judgment before to make a decision


sensible: be reasonable


cautious: be careful to avoid problems or danger


rash: do something too quickly without consider the effects of your actions


risk averse: take few risks


foolhardy: ignore obvious dangers in a stupid way


reckless: dont think about the possible bad effects of your actions


bold: fearless


imprudent: be not sensible especially in relation to the way that monet is spent or invested


over-cautious: have a lot of precaution doing business in that case
